Blenko 9223 fish vase

A fish vase blown by hand at the Blenko factory in Milton, West Virginia. Model 9223 is in the Blenko catalogues from 1992 to 2002.

This one is Antique Green with a clear fin, eyes and foot, as the fish was listed in 1992-94.

On its side is the Blenko block-B label with the word HANDMADE; underneath, the pontil mark.

Designed by Hank Murta Adams, Blenko's design director in those years: the catalogue names him in its colophon, not beside the piece.

As good as new, with its label.
